The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 playoffs is fast approaching with league stages boiling down. Gujarat Titans were the first team to confirm their place, and finished in the top spot.
They have been joined by Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians. 
The top two teams in the table will play Qualifier 1. The winner of this fixture will directly qualify for the final.
The third and fourth-placed teams will have to play an eliminator. The winner of this tie will face the losing team of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2.
The final will be played between the winners of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2. Let us take a look at the date and venue for the playoffs and final.
Qualifier 1, between GT and CSK, will be held on May 23 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Chepauk is hosting the IPL playoffs for the first time since 2019.
The Eliminator, contested between the sides placed 3rd and 4th on the table, which is Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians, will be held on May 24 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Qualifier 2, contested between winners of the Eliminator and losers of Qualifier 1 (Gujarat Titans), will be held on May 26 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 
The summit clash will be held on May 28 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 
Star Sports has acquired the broadcasting rights for the 2023 IPL season and will be airing this year’s tournaments on its channels.

Although most matches will be broadcasted on its paid channels, the company has announced that it will broadcast 12 matches on its free-to-air Star Utsav Movies channel.

Disney+Hotstar will not be streaming the IPL matches live this year, unlike in previous seasons. Instead, Viacom 18 secured the rights to live stream the matches in India by paying INR 20,500 crore to the BCCI.
