LSG Jersey Launch: IPL 2023 – KL Rahul & Co will be seen in a brand-new jersey for the upcoming IPL 2023 season. In BCCI Secretary Jay Shah’s presence, Lucknow Super Giants have launched the new jersey for IPL 2023. Captain KL Rahul apart from Deepak Hooda and new member Jaydev Unadkat were present at the launch. However, many fans have found similarities to Deccan Chargers jersey. LSG jersey launch post became viral in no time, and fans started flooding the comment sections with their valuable suggestions. One of the users wrote, “Orange and Sky Blue”, while the other user wanted LSG to opt for the traditional color and said, “White and Blue color is the best option.” Another user wanted LSG to add some back element to the jersey, and said “Please add black color in your jersey.” However, LS opted to with the traditional Blue jersey with a shade of red in the side panels.

IPL 2023: Lucknow Super Giants keen to continue the good work from last IPL 2022 season, KL Rahul’s form in focus – Last year, LSG finished third on the points table and did well under Rahul’s leadership by winning nine games out of 17 matches. In IPL 2023 season, LSG would like to carry forward the momentum. Rahul’s form will be in focus as the batter has lost his place in Test and T20 formats. While in IPL 2022 season, the right-hand batter scored over 600 runs, all eyes will be on his performance with the bat in hand this time around as he eyes come back to the Indian team.
Lucknow Super Giants revealed their offical jersey for the latest edition of the Indian Premier League on their social media handle on 7th March. BCCI secretary Jay Shah, LSG captain KL Rahul, owner of LSG Sanjeev Goenka and team mentor Gautam Gambhir together unveiled LSG’s new jersey.
The prominent colour of the jersey is dark blue, with strips of red on each side. This jersey is a striking contrast from its predecessor. LSG will hope that this darker variation brings them the much-needed X factor this season. Before the LSG jersey became the centre of attraction, a fashion show was hosted just before the unveiling ceremony. To top it off some of the LSG players took part in that show, showcasing their sense of fashion and glamour.
Ravi Bishnoi, Jaydev Undakat, Deepak Hooda, Avesh Khan, and finally the LSG skipper KL Rahul walked on the ramp in colours which were similar to the jersey. After the unveiling ceremony Gautam Gambhir, KL Rahul and Sanjeev Goenka talked about what can be expected from LSG this season. Team mentor Gambhir emphasized on the fact that consistency will be the key for LSG. The conditions will be different from last season. Thus, adaptability will play a key role in producing a result in their favour.
In order to achieve this LSG’s coaches and management team will play a key role. Former Zimbabwe captain Andy Flower will be the head coach of LSG for this season and Andy Bichel will operate as the bowling coach. The other coaches include Vijay Dahiya as the assistant coach, Richard Halsall as the fielding coach and finally Warren Andrews as the strength and conditioning coach.
