The Youngsville High School Alumni Scholarship Fund has awarded over $225,000 in scholarships since 1985.
And scholarships are open to this year’s group of YHS seniors.
Alumni Scholarship Trustee Sue Perrin said that the scholarship is open to students who plan to continue their education at two-or-four year college, university or technical school.
“The YHS Alumni Scholarship Fund has been awarding scholarships to YHS Seniors every year since 1985,” Perrin said. “The Scholarship Fund is built on memorials, cash donations from Youngsville High School Alumni and proceeds from the annual YHS Alumni Scholarship Golf Tournament.”
A total of $233,052 has been awarded to 216 students.
“Letters were sent home to all YHS seniors in January 2023, and included the application form and instructions for application,” Perrin said.
Completed applications need to be returned to the YHS guidance office no later than May 1. The application is also available at the guidance office and online at wcsdpa.org.
